AsperX Laptop Power Bank | Best TSA Approved Battery on the Market

I own nearly a dozen USB power banks and this one from AsperX stands above all the others. It delivers more watts and is built better than nearly every other one I own. In fact, out of all the battery packs I own, AsperX is the only brand name I can recall — or would buy again.

JUST THE FACTS

AsperX’s Laptop Power Bank is a 20,000mAh battery that provides up to 165 watts of charging power through three ports. On the top there’s a 100w USB-C port and a 22.5 watt USB-A QC port on the top with a built-in retractable USB-C cable in the bottom. The aluminum case helps dissipate heat which leads to longer battery life and a solid product. The battery’s 20,000mAh size makes it legal to take and use on airplanes. The bright and legible screen provides the devices charge level and other details at a glance.

FULL REVIEW

Right out of the box, the AsperX Laptop Power Bank’s aluminum case sets it apart from the pack. As someone who has dropped and cracked inexpensive chargers, I appreciate this thing’s build quality. While most of my power banks simply display their current charge level with a row of small LED lights, the screen on this unit is bright, legible, and impressive. A large number in the center shows the battery’s current charge along with how long it’ll reach zero at current charging levels. Other menu options include the ability to see how many times it’s been used, how long the screen should remain on, and its brightness. Everything about this charger feels a step above. Despite having all these options, everything can be accessed through the device’s single button which makes it simple to use.

Each USB-C port can deliver 100 watts independently or, when combined, a total of 165 watts. 100 watts is enough to charge a laptops and tablets. Also built in is a low-power mode that drops the watts being delivered which is perfect for charging things like Airpods, earbuds, and other smaller items. The retractable USB-C cable built in to the bottom of the unit is surprisingly useful as it eliminates the need to carry around additional charging cables if you just need to charge your phone.

With a high-powered (20w) charger, I am able to charge the AsperX Laptop Power Bank from 0-75% in about an hour. You can charge the device from either the USB-C port or the built-in cable.
