2″ Hole Saw Drill Bit | Go Big or Go Home

When I began doing DIY projects year ago, I had no idea how to drill holes larger than the bits that were included with my drill. Eventually I discovered hole bits and have owned several of them through the years, but many of them are so cheap that they wear out quickly or are difficult to set up. These bits from MORETOPGOOD offer a quality product at a budget price.

FULL REVIEW

I’m not great when it comes to home decorating, especially my office. My idea of a perfect office is a room with tables, desks, and shelves lining every wall. That makes cord management a nightmare, and it was that scenario that originally sent me down the path in search of a decent hole bit for my drill.

These bits from MORETOPGOOD are available in five sizes, ranging from 1″ in diameter to 5″. Each one is sold separately, and I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing. I’ve owned hole saw bits in the past that included multiple bits with one central mechanism and every time I want to use one it takes me a while to remember how to change them out — assuming I can find all the pieces again. With those kits you also end up with a bunch of bits you never use. In my old kit, all of the blades are new and unused except the 2″ one which I use(d) all the time. After it quickly dulled I went looking for a better product, and I found one.

One thing I like about these bits is that they can drill through just about anything your drill can handle. I’ve used mine to drill through plastic, drywall/sheetrock, wood, and metal. I’ve added 2″ holes near the rear of all of my desks and tables to make running cables up and through them a cinch. I’ve used it to drill holes in the side of a vehicle to mount an external charging port, and I’ve used it on drywall to run cables between our house and the garage. Amazon also sells multiple inexpensive rubber and plastic rings that fit inside 2″ holes, which gives these projects a finished look.

I don’t have any use for the larger models, but I purchased the 1″ and 2″ bits and use them frequently. They feel like they’ll last a long time and will probably outlast my drill.

WHAT I LIKED

✅ Built to Last
✅ Saw through anything
✅ Connect to a standard drill

WHAT COULD BE BETTER

📉 More expensive than multi-kits
